Welcome

Whether you've had counselling or therapy before or are completely new to it, I hope you'll find all the information you need here to learn more about the service I offer.

I have been in practice since 2008 and provide a warm, approachable, professional counselling service for both adults and young people (aged 11 and above).

I work holistically - meaning I include your thoughts/beliefs, feelings, body and spirit (whatever that means to you). I'm also trained in working with trauma and the nervous system in safe, effective ways and offer a range of therapeutic approaches, meaning I can find the best way of working with you as an individual.

I'm non-judgemental and sensitive to differences in ethnicity, culture, age, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, ability and gender.

I also offer Creative Therapies and Ecotherapy (counselling outdoors).

My background, experience and qualifications

As well as seeing private clients, I’ve previously worked as a counsellor for the NHS and various charity counselling services.

Picture of Lucy I have a background in Mental Health and extensive experience working with people from all walks of life and with many different issues.

These include anxiety, depression, low confidence / self-esteem, loss, bereavement, family breakdown, domestic violence, rape, sexual abuse, trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, relationship problems, work stress, bullying, chronic illness (such as CFS and Fibromyalgia), climate change grief/anxiety and spiritual crisis.

I am an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and practice in accordance with their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

Where I work - online and in person - and which days

I offer face-to-face sessions in Dartington - full details on the Venues page. I'm there on a Monday and Wednesday. In addition to this, I have online availability on some other days during school hours.
